Nepal Telecom (NT) has launched its inaugural Softphone, branded as EasyPhone, which operates on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). This innovative tool enables subscribers to facilitate cost-effective IP calls directly from their computers, provided they have a broadband internet connection.
To utilize EasyPhone, users must download the softphone application and enter their account number and password into the user interface. This streamlined process allows for quick access to making IP calls.
Additionally, subscribers can also place calls via smartphones equipped with 3G or Wi-Fi by installing a compatible SIP application available on the internet. This flexibility caters to a range of user preferences and enhances the overall communication experience.
